To install carpet tile draw the sections that you want to carpet on a piece of paper and arrange the tiles in a design or style that you like before you get started laying down the tiles.
Then lay tack strips around the perimeter of the room and install your strips of padding.
To install carpet on concrete choose a carpet that is constructed of synthetic products only as natural fibers are often too absorbent.
Next section off the room into four quadrants and lay the tiles down starting in the center and working your way out.
Step 2 patch the concrete subfloor as required.
These tiles are designed for floating installation meaning that you will not need to glue the carpet tiles down to the concrete.
Before you install the carpet make sure to check the concrete for any moisture issues that need to be addressed.
This is especially helpful if you are installing in a basement or garage where moisture and or condensation may be present because you are then still able to lift the carpet tiles and allow for drying underneath.
